The Hinson Team
The Hinson Team was formed by Mike & Harriet in 1991,
since then they have sold almost 1,000 homes to date. The
team approach to Real Estate is a huge benefit to you. By

Mike
Hinson, Associate Broker
Born and raised in Thomaston, Georgia,
Mike learned at an early age the importance of family, friends,
and small town values. Mike graduated from Oxford College
and Emory University. Once in Real Estate, Mike quickly became
a Million Dollar Producer, earned his ABR, GRI, CRS, Re/Max
Hall of Fame, and Atlanta Board of Realtors coveted Phoenix
Award. Mike is a CPA with his Masters in both Taxation and
Finance. Mike handles all aspects of the sale or purchase
of your home and focuses on details after the home is under
contract.
Harriet
Hinson, Associate Broker
Harriet is a native of
Thomaston, Georgia. Being the third generation of Realtors,
she has carried on the family tradition. Harriet is an Emory
University and Auburn University Alumnus. After 15 years in
Real Estate, Harriet has earned her ABR, CRB, CRS, GRI, Brokers
License, Masters of Real Estate Designation, and is in the
top 1% in both sales and education. She has been published
by McGraw Hill and has been interviewed by Dan Rather as a
Real Estate Expert as well as published in numerous magazines.
As your Sales Consultant for the Hinson Team, Harriet handles
the negotiating and all aspects of the sale or purchase of
your home.
Lamar
Hinson, Associate Broker
Lamar
is a native of Thomaston, Georgia. Almost 20 years as a licensed
Real Estate Broker have taught him the importance of the trust
his clients place in him. “When you represent your client
you must protect them and advance their interest to the best
of your experience and ability. Excellence in representation
is the reward that warms your heart and no one does a better
job than the Hinson Team.” Lamar has a Nursing Degree
from Gordon College, a Business Degree from Oxford College
and Emory University, and a Law Degree from Georgia State
University. Lamar specializes in successful marketing of homes
and land tracts.
Sean
Byers, Buyer Agent
Sean is one of
a few native Atlantans. Raised in Marietta, GA. Sean has seen
Atlanta grow firsthand from an up and coming city, to a true
world-class city. With his lifelong knowledge of Atlanta,
Sean can guide you to the perfect home to fit your needs.
As a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors, National Association
of Realtors and Georgia Board of Realtors, you can be certain
you are in the right hands. Sean currently lives in Alpharetta
with his wife, Christy where they attend North Point Community
Church.
Margarita
Burgess, Office Manager
Margarita
is a native of Oakland, California and moved to Georgia to
be closer to her children and their families. It is her responsibility
to keep the office organized and running as smoothly as possible
for the Hinson Team. Her interests range from theatre to dancing
and walking on a regular basis. She is also an avid reader
and loves everything from mysteries to historical fiction,
current event topics, and non-fiction.
Elizabeth
Newsom, Real Estate Manager
Elizabeth was born in the South and was raised in Atlanta,
Georgia. She attended Georgia State University and afterwards
joined Jurlique Holistic Skin Care Inc where she was the Operation
Manager as well as the Customer Care Manager. She later worked
with Energetix Corporation where she counseled practitioners
on remedy protocols and practice management. Leaving Energetix,
she joined HealthAmerica Realty Group as the Marketing and
Executive Coordinator and developed their marketing program
and coordinated all executive functions. She joined the Hinson
Team after meeting Harriet to work as the Real Estate Manager-
handling all the marketing and graphic design as well as coordinating
office functions. Elizabeth's business experience in service
and sales combined with her organizational skills adds a wealth
of resource to the team.
Susan
Belvin, Client Care Manager
Susan was born in Chicago and raised in St. Louis. After graduating
from DePauw University in Indiana with a BA in History, she
has lived in several states in the South but has called Atlanta
home for over 15 years. She has worked in several aspects
of the real estate process (mortgage and closing) and in customer
service. She feels that clear communication is the key to
providing great customer service and enjoys working with people
especially during the important time of home buying/selling.
